Join us at Basta for a warm, hands-on spice blending class inspired by the traditions of North African kitchens. Guided by Liz Yellinek, the chef and founder of Basta Grill, we will explore the art of creating their own Ras al Hanout (translated from Arabic as “the head of the shop”), a Moroccan spice blend that reflects the personality and creativity of its maker. Just as every Moroccan spice merchant crafts a signature version, you’ll have the freedom to experiment with a curated selection of spices, learning the foundations while creating something uniquely yours. Settle in for an inviting, relaxed afternoon filled with flavor, storytelling, and discovery. It's a perfect way to spend a winter Saturday exploring aroma, culture, and the joy of making something personal and delicious.
